REAL ID Required for Entry to NASA Research Park Starting May 7, 2025

In accordance with new federal guidelines from the Department of Homeland Security and TSA, NASA will begin enforcing REAL ID requirements across all centers, including NASA Ames Research Center, starting May 7, 2025.

To enter the NASA Research Park (NRP), all visitors must present one of the following acceptable forms of ID:

-REAL ID-compliant identification (e.g., driver’s license with REAL ID star)

-NASA PIV Badge, Agency Smart Badge, Ames Local Badge, or Visitor Pass

-U.S. Passport or Passport Card

-U.S. Dept. of Defense ID (including dependent IDs)

-Permanent Resident Card (“Green Card”)

-HSPD-12 PIV Card

-Foreign Government-Issued Passport (non-banned countries only)

-USCIS Employment Authorization Card (I-766)

-DHS Trusted Traveler Cards (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)

*IDs from NASA-banned countries (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria) will not be accepted.
